Everyone gets down from time to time. We all have bad moods. Just like clouds, if we wait a little while, they drift on by and we are once more warmed by the sun. If a bad mood is like a cloud, then clinical depression is a long, cold, dark winter. Major depression is a serious, sometimes crippling disorder, which, in its most severe form, can be fatal. Treatment can provide relief and often a cure.
